HELLOOO, it’s been a while since my last confession.
Why? I hear you ask.
Well, that’s because I’ve been busy. All year, and in particular in the lead up to the holiday season at the end of the year we were gathering stories from some of the best modern indie Cyberpunk writers in the WORLD.
Not only that, we managed to get the grandfather of Cyberpunk, the man who invented the word Cyberpunk and was the first to use it, Bruce Bethke. I will be the first one to admit I was not paying attention in the History of Cyberpunk class, because I didn’t know about Bruce’s story until recently.
Bruce invented the word Cyberpunk, and used it as a title for a story. He submitted this story and it was rejected for a couple of reasons. 1. The punks win (and we can’t have that), and 2. They thought that people running around with hand held computers and laptops was a bit far fetched. Bruce tells this story in a much more engaging way in his Foreword. I personally believe the Foreword is worth the price of the Anthology.
I implore you, if you like Cyberpunk to check out the latest edition of NEO CYBERPUNK - Volume 3.
Inside you will find 15 stories plus the super fun Foreword by Bruce Bethke. Each story has been slaved over, edited, and passionately discussed by the authors. You will find something to enjoy, I guarantee it. I even tweeted it1.
So its up for PREORDER NOW! It would be worth your while to click that button so it arrives in your Kindle for your reading pleasure on release day.
Or you can wait until the 25th and pick up a paperback version. There are some new authors on this edition and each of the regular contributors are evolving their storytelling skills along with the crazy world that we are looking at now. I’m talking to you Elon and chatGPT and lord knows what else the future holds.
Here is a link that will take you through to your favorite Amazon store no matter where you are in the world.
These Anthologies are pretty much a labor of love for all of us. Sure, we hope a few people will read a story and come look at our other books, but its also a lot of fun to put together with the community of Cyberpunk writers. Each story is approximately 4,000 words long and are all a great read while on your transit or waiting room. Nice tight little snippets of worlds you couldn’t have imagined. Some of the authors are established, and some are still working on their first major work.
Well I have banged on enough about it. I hope some of you check it out. Even if you’re reading this after the 25th of January. This really is the best edition.
Oooh, look I can do polls now.
Poetry blocks are cool I like to try all the options this poem doesn't rhyme Go buy the anthology There are no poems in it
