Twitter Gems you may have missed
The new Twitter discovery algorithms are not yet perfected. In fact a lot of people seem to be reporting they can no longer see the usual tweets from people they know.
I often tweet what I think are great and interesting ideas. I don’t get much engagements, but I assume that’s simply because they don’t get seen, or people do see them and don’t feel the need to respond in any way. I still think they are great thoughts though so I wanted to collate them here, just for my own benefit really.

This tweet is a thought about artificial intelligence taking over writing tasks in the near future. It will take over some tasks, but I really hope there is always room for the creativity of humans.

Of course another similar thought that reflects a similar idea. Beyond that after some discussions with friends, it seems that we have decided chatGPT, Midjourney and all the other current Ai style models, are simply the ultimate derivative machines.
In my short story Solip City, in Neo Cyberpunk - Volume 3, this is the very idea I consider. If a city was run by various Ai entities, perhaps the people of the city would eventually get bored of the derivative works. But as ardent consumers, perhaps they have forgotten how to create. I surmised that outside input would be needed.

I do believe this, we are only able to expand our minds through experience. Books are a hack to experience something that we would never get to experience. The ability to look creatively into the future or past, or an alternate present, is the very thing that makes us human.

I really do wonder if anyone finds this area interesting, and if they really would like to experience another world, and other ideas, through the medium of story. Or would you rather something else. I am eager to hear what book is missing from the available books on this planet.
